Following Jesus

Following Jesus, day after day,
Following Jesus, He leads the way.
Learning to listen to what He will say,
Then by faith to trust and obey
If to His voice I will give heed,
He will fulfill my every need.

Following Jesus, there will be some tests
Following Jesus, I'll know what is best.
Though I may not always know what is ahead,
I must not be filled with fear or dread.
He holds my hand and will not let me go,
In every trial He will bring me through.

God's eyes are on His people

I looked up and noticed the moon in the clear sky. It looks like it is hanging there in space with nothing holding it; but I know that my Lord is holding the moon in space even as He is holding the earth and all creation in His hands. That is awesome that the sameLord has His eye on me.
When I first began walking I was singing, "My eyes are on you, Lord. My eyes are on you". and then my eyes wandered to a pickup that was setting on the road that is across the field. I began thinking, " what if that is someone who is waiting to come after me? " Then I thought about my
brothers and sisters in Christ who are literally being chased by the enemy.I began to pray for them. When I returned home and read the Scripture for today II Peter 3 . I realized that you were truly speaking to me that all these temporary things shall be dissolved and your will is for salvation, for you are not willing that any should perish.

A Pathway for You

The Lord will make a way . The heavens declare the glory of God. This morning my walk was just a little later. I expected the sun would be up and glaring in my face; however, as I walked out from the wooded pathway and into the field I looked into the sky the sun was hidden behind a rather large cloud formation. There were other cloud formations and although the wind was gently blowing , it seemed like the cloud formations were not moving ; but just suspended by the hand of my
Heavenly Father. Around the edge of the large cloud formation was a bright light from the sun. What attracted my attention most was the rays of the sun which kept getting longer and brighter. Then all of a sudden I saw a path in the sky where on each side of the sun rays was a dark cloud.. It only lasted a few moments but definately was a bright path through
dark clouds. I kept watching and the clouds kept changing. It was
amazing how the scene in the sky could change so quickly when at first it seemed like clouds were so still. But the most precious thing was the path in the sky. When there is darkness all around the Lord will make a way for me.
There is a pathway in the clouds for you
The Son of God is coming through
When there is darkness on every side
and your fears do not subside
He will make the darkness light before you
By the grace of God He will see you through

When your heart is filled with grief
And from pain there is no relief
Rest assured iof His great love
He has sent the Heavenly Dove
The Comforter from above

God's Gate

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving in my heart. These words I am singing as I began my walk down the driveway When I reach the gate at the end of the driveway it is open. Sometimes it is closed. I think about the "gate" of salvation. Today it is open. I want all of my loved ones to enter that gate. I want everyone to enter in. Jesus opened "life-gate" ..it is the cross which bridges the gap between every individual and God. I want you are reading this to enter the gate of salvation through faith in the blood of Jesus. Jesus said, "I Am the Truth, the Life and the Way. No man comes to the Father but by me."

Take Your Burden to the Cross

This morning I am thinking about burdens Jesus said, "Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. ". To labor over a burden is
to think that I must do something or say something....that I must take responsibility for the outcome of that burden. To lay that burden at the cross
is to only do what the Lord would show me to do even if it means doing nothing...to speak only words that He puts in my mouth to say or to be silent. I can only find
the rest that Jesus talks about when I lay my burden at the foot of the cross

The WEB

This morning as I came to the part of the driveway which leaves the woods and goes through the open field, all of a sudden I saw a large spier's web hanging from the tree branches almost to the middle of the driveway. The spider which was still spinning the web was almost in front of my nose. Because a ray of sunlight was shinning on the web I was able to see it. On my way back from the gate, walking the other direction, I knew about the spider web so I walked to the other side of the driveway. As I glanced to my right I saw that the spider web had been getting bigger and bigger. since I first saw it. Yet because there was no ray of sunlight shinnng on the web at this time, I could have walked right into it. The Lord was drawing me a picture from His awesome creation. The spider web could be seen onlywhen the sun shined upon it. It is only when the Son of God is shinning HIs light upon our way that we can discern the "web or snare" that satan would have us walk into. God's Word is light for our path. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus who is the Light of the World so that we do not become ensnared by satan's lies.

Look Above

This morning clouds cover the sky. Although the wind is blowing, the air seems somewhat humid. As I look up into the clouds, I am reminded that though all I can
see is clouds, far above the clouds God is present. I need to focus on Him..on His strength..on His greatness...on His power...on His everlasting mercy and love..on His faithfulness

LOOK ABOVE
Look above all earthly trials and problems
Look above circumstances and feelings
Look above imaginations and desires
Look above all plans and ambitions
Look to Jesus....to His power, to His strength,
to His unfailing mercy and love.

Jesus said, Let not your heart be troubled.
You believe in God, believe in Me also

Jesus Shines Brighter

This morning there are many clouds in the sky hovering over the earth; but there is a
gleam of light shining in the East. Though dark clouds are hovering over the earth
there is a gleam of light which shines brighter. That Light is Jesus, the Son of God.He shines through His people. The darkness cannot comprehend that Light, the Light of the Lamb of God. As the darkness becomes darker; the Light becomes brighter. The Light of Jesus in my soul shines brighter than the darkness that would overwhelm me.
