Worship Jesus

April 20,2008 Dear Lord, Thank you for drawing such a beautiful picture
for me. It is almost indescribable....the broad span of white little clouds
remind me of a highway across the sky...the patches of light blue give me
a feeling of peace and rest....the white whisps of clouds scattered here
and there like the swish of a paintbrush add depth of beauty...the sun
shining brightly surrounded by silvery clouds adds to the magnificant view. As I raise my hands in praise to You, I worship at Your footstool ; for the earth is your footstool and heaven is Your throne. The heavens are my cathedral. I stand in awe at your creation but I stand even more amazed at your grace . I give myself to You a new today.

The Pebbles

This morning as I began to praise you Lord and ask you to speak to me , I notice some loose pebbles in the driveway. I then began to focus to singing praise to you. It is very still this morning with no breeze and no country sounds. Lord, you spoke to Elijah in the stillness. , speak to me in the stillness. Now I notice the stones. They are loose from the foundation. I am reminded of the song ,"How firm a foundation you saints of the Lord is laid for your faith in His excellant Word. What more can He say than to you He has said, To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled"....The words to this song are so beautiful! I am reminded that we have a sure foundation that can not be shaken...Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone. Hebrews 6:18-19 " that we might have a strong consolation who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us which
hope we have as an anchor of the soul both sure and stedfast"..A few of the stones in the driveway were shaken loose. ...Our foundation stands sure we cannot be shaken loose from Jesus . Hebrews 12:27
talks about "those things that are shaken as of things that are made,
that those things which cannot be shaken may remain". II Thess 2:2
says, "Be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled" ...

You Lighten My Path

It was early this morning just at daybreak when Rupert and I set out on our walk. I began to think of all kinds of dangers that might be out there- animals that lurk in the darkness. Then began to think of the promises of
God's protection- "He is my refuge, What time I am afraid I will trust in Him". At this early hour as I looked in the distance the gate at the end of the field seemed dark; however, the most amazing thing happened. The closer we came to the gate the light of the morning became brighter so when we arrived at the gate it was not dark at all but light. I am so glad , Lord Jesus, that you are that light that came to live in me, that you shine in my heart. You are that light that shines in a dark place until the day dawns , You make darkness light before me,Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. You will enlighten my darkness. I can go forward in this dark world , walking in the light of your Word assured that each step that I take you will lighten my path

God is good

This morning is a chilly 40 degrees ; however, there is very little breeze
and the warmth of the sun is shining on my back. All is still and quiet.
The dew is on the hayfield where little flowers are beginning to show
their appearance. I am thinking about the goodness of the Lord..A
little chorus has these words...Oh God is good, Oh God is good ,Oh God
is good, He's so good to me...Oh Lord I love you, Oh Lord I love you
Oh Lord I love you , You're so good to me. David in the Pslams declared
"I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living." Psalm 145:9 says, " The Lord is good to all
and his tender mercies are over all his works. Even in the prison camp
Corrie ten Boom was able to discern the goodness of the Lord in
dire circumstances. Psalm 107 brought strength and courage to
Sabina Wurmbrand when she was in prison for her witness for Christ
Psalm 107:8 says, " Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men". .Lord, may my focus be on Your goodness, today. .for You are a good God, not evil, that is Your character.

"Wherever I go,
Whatever I do,
Wherever I am
I know that you are with me
Before I turn the corner ,
You know what is ahead"...
These were words I sang this morning as I started on my morning walk. Lord, it is as though you put these words into my mouth, for as I begin my walk through the woods and came around the corner in the driveway, straight ahead of me was a cobweb with a little worm hanging level with my face. I saw it and walked around the other side. Then my song continued...
"Where the enemy's trap is spread
You will not let me fall".
As I continued on into the field area, I looked up and saw black clouds
slowly moving across the sky. There were several little patches of blue
sky shinning through the black clouds.
" You see me from above,
I'm covered by your love".
Just then Ruppert came trotting up by my side which reminded me that...
"You are my true, faithful guide ,
You never leave my side .
In You I will abide"
Thank you Lord for speaking to me in your creation, today.

MARCHING

April 5.2008
This morning the driveway was muddy because of the rain so I wore my plastic "rubbers" over my shoes. Everything was very still and quiet this morning; however, as I walked on the road that goes through the field I could hear the "scrape ...scrape" of my rubbers on the little rocks in the road. It reminded me of the sound of marching. Today I pray for soldiers who are marching in Iraq....Lord, strengthen them, deliver them from the enemy, comfort them, give them wisdom, help them to know your presence....I pray for my brothers and sisters who are marching to work all day in labor camps where they are being persecuted for their witness for you , Lord. May they also know your strength. You have promised that you will not allow us to be tempted above that we are able to bear but you
will provide a way of escape that we may be able to bear it. I pray this for my suffering brothers and sisters....I pray for those who are marching to refugee camps (probably they are running) I can not imagine what it must be like for them but I hold them up before you, Lord. May they know that you are their refuge and salvation. Miraculously provide for their physical and emotional needs. ....

Onward Christian soldiers marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before
Christ the royal Master, leads against the foe
Forward into battle see, His banners go
Crowns and thrones may perish,
Kingdoms rise and wane;
But the Church of Jesus, constant will remaina
Gates of hell can never gainst that Church prevail
We have Christ's own promise which can never fail
