The morning clouds were dark and ominous. I held one
edge of my long, warm scarf up over my nose and mouth
to keep the cold breeze from taking away my breath.
By the time I came to the end of the driveway, I raised
my arms in praise and worship to the Lord. Then He put
a song in my heart:
When the storm clouds roll
and the North wind blows
The rain drops come and
then the snow
I surely know
that my Father is in control.
So I will not fear
When the storm clouds roll
and the North wind blows
When the rain drops scatter on my window pane
and the snow comes thick and drifts again
He holds me in the hollow of His hand.
When the storms of life would overtake me
And disappointments would over whelm me
Though I cannot see above the clouds
My Father can see the whole picture
He will turn the darkness into light.

Come Along
This morning is a beautiful, sunny day although the
temperature is 36 degrees. I headed down the
driveway for my walk with my dog, Ruppert. I
began singing and praising the Lord; then I
noticed that Ruppert was no where in sight.
I called him several times.."Come along, come
along, Ruppert" Finally he came running to catch
up with me. I nearly stumbled on a loose stone
and noticed that there were many loose stones
in the way that I walked (so our way may be
rough and rocky) When I was walking on my way
home the wind was blowing in my face. I began
singing:
Come along with me on the narrow way
Come along on the way that is truth and light
Let us go together on the heavenly way
To the place where there is no more night.
Though the way seem hard and long
Though the winds of adversity flow
Do not turn back, but then know
That our Saviour is strong
and He will carry you through
Come along with me, my brother and my sister.
