The morning clouds were dark and ominous. I held one
edge of my long, warm scarf up over my nose and mouth
to keep the cold breeze from taking away my breath.
By the time I came to the end of the driveway, I raised
my arms in praise and worship to the Lord. Then He put
a song in my heart:
When the storm clouds roll
and the North wind blows
The rain drops come and
then the snow
I surely know
that my Father is in control.
So I will not fear
When the storm clouds roll
and the North wind blows
When the rain drops scatter on my window pane
and the snow comes thick and drifts again
He holds me in the hollow of His hand.
When the storms of life would overtake me
And disappointments would over whelm me
Though I cannot see above the clouds
My Father can see the whole picture
He will turn the darkness into light.
