This morning my dog Ruppert kept running around in circles, first when I
came out of the house and kept on running up ahead and then circling
around me all along our path. I began to think about circles. Isaiah
40:22 says, " It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth, and the
inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens
as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in." This speaks
to me that God is over all and much, much greater than man. Yet He is
not too great to notice and care for each individual. I remember reading
the testimony of Arthur Matthews, a missionary to China, who was one
of the last ones to leave China before the Communists took over in
1949. Mr. Matthews stated that there was no safer place than in the
center of the circle of God's will. He and his wife could just feel the Lord's
presence around them there in China while they were waitng to get
connections to come to the U.S.
As I kept walking I began to feel the warmth of the sun on my back. I was reminded that God even made the sun to run it's circuit. Psalm 19:6 speaking about the sun it says,"His going forth is from the end of the heaven , and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof." My prayer is - Lord, keep me and everyone who is reading this, in the center of the circle of your will.
