This morning as I awoke I looked at the pictures of my precious grand-
children and then I thought about the dear humble lady named Anna, who used to have Bible club for children. I remember going to her house and we used to sing a song about children being Jesus' jewels. I am thankful for the precious "jewels" that God has given me. Later as I was walking toward the gate I noticed a little red car going by on the road.
The car reminded me of my neighbor and I began wondering how she is doing. Then I began to ask the Lord, " What does your Word say about reminders or remembering?" He brought to my mind the words, "Remember your Creator in the days of your youth while the evil days come not." That brings a multitude of memories of the years that I attended Bible camp when I was a teen-ager and all that it meant in my life. I remembered words that Jesus spoke when at the last supper. "Do these things in remembrance of me. As I begin meditating upon what Jesus has done for me, several thoughts came to my mind ....
I remember as you broke the bread you said,
"This is my body which is broken for you".
I remember the stripes you wore on your back
And by your stripes I am healed
I remember as you took the cup you said,
"This cup is the new covenant in my blood"
The cup of God's wrath for sin was poured out
My sins forever in the sea of God's forgetfulness
I remember "It is finished " were the words you spoke
The fulfilment of all righteousness was done
The curtain in the temple was rent in two,
the way to the Father was opened by you.
I remember Your hands and feet were nailed to the cross
And we shall know You by the nail prints in your hands.
I remember that You arose from the dead
I too shall rise to be with you when you come again.
