Contentment

This morning as I walked out into the field and
looked up into the sky I saw the longest jet
stream which I have ever seen....it stayed in
view for the longest time. It reminded me of
flying and I thought about my desire to go to
China or some other foreign country. Then I
thought about the words of a song that I have
known for a long time. "If Jesus goes with me
I'll go anywhere". I have never given much
thought to some of the words which say, "If
Jesus goes with me I'll stay anywhere." It is
talking about being willing to stay home. This
morning I had read in my Bible, Hebrews 13:5
which says,"Let your conversation be without
covetousness and be content with such things
as you have,for He has said, I will never
leave you or forsake you." Only Jesus brings
true contentment. To be content is to be
satisfied. If I am satisfied with Jesus I can
be truly content whether I go on a mission
trip or not; whether I go and see my grand-
chldren often or not... whatever circumstances
the Lord has planned for me I want to be content.
