I kept noticing in the pathway little insects that
had died and were being eaten up by ants; it was a
rather repulsive thing to see. It was a picture of
death and destruction. I shuddered to think about
the death and destruction that is going on in the
world today; however, I began to think about what
God sees. He sees the heartaches, griefs, pain,
and suffering that is going on in this world. He
sees the destruction and terror. Psalm 102:19-20
tells us that the Lord looked down from heaven
and beheld the earth to hear the sighing and
groaning of the prisoner, to loose those who
are appointed to death. He not only sees but
cared enough to send Jesus, His only beloved
Son, who took bore all of our sorrows and
griefs. In Psalm 84 when talking about those
who pass through a place of weeping, verse
seven says, "they go from strength to strength
every one of them in Zion appears before God."
The Lord also tells us that when we see all
these things come to pass, it is time to look up
for Jesus is coming soon.
